My Promise To You:

I don’t want to be a professional author. That’s not my life goal. Which means I have the freedom to work on whatever interests me – and perhaps you.

This experiment in eschewing author business practices like “writing to market” or having different pen names for ever genre means that I don’t have to stick with the same plots you see over and over and over again.

Amazon’s recommendation bots can go kick rocks.

I can try new things. I will bring you new ideas that probably won’t sell particularly well. But (thank goodness) at least they won’t have been written half a billion times before.

You won’t get consistency from me. I’m writing romance and YA fantasy now. But maybe sci-fi will spark my interest and I’ll go that direction. Find other authors to get your [insert genre here] fix.

What you will get is something unique. Something that doesn’t quite fit – maybe you even find it uncomfortable.

Deal with it.

  • I promise not to write “every girl” narrative about a beautiful girl who doesn’t know she’s gorgeous who doesn’t have any particular talents/skills/qualities and can only be described as a waif archetype who has spunky outbursts, so people don’t complain that she’s a waif.
  • I promise not to write the same plots over and over with different setting/character features
  • I promise to genre hop more than a bunny after 4 shots of espresso
  • I promise to deliver stories rather than let them collect dust in the “partially completed draft folder” because real artists ship

Hang out with me if you’re interested in exploring new worlds. It’s all about the story.  The author is only the vehicle to get that story out of the creative mist of the universe.
